Hello Pentel for Governor supporters,
The countdown is on and there are only 10 days left until the MN State Fair starts. We have a prime location on Nelson Street next to the DNR building and are finalizing details to make a great presentation at the fair.
As many of you may know, it is difficult for a third party candidate to get much visibility during an election cycle. The fair is an opportunity to provide education/outreach to over 1.7 million people in 12 days. This is where your help is needed.
The following is a list of shifts still available to staff the Ken Pentel for Governor booth. Feel free to call me if you can help out with a four hour shift. Discount tickets can be obtained at Cub Foods for $9 before Aug 25th, normal admission is $11.
Check out the State Fair website at www.mnstatefair.org for information on bus transportation and events that you may want to attend before or after your shift. Thanks to all the volunteers who have already committed to a shift.
State Fair shifts available:
Friday, Aug 27 9a - 1p and 5p - 9p
Tues, Aug 31 (ticket deal day, $9 at the gate) 9a - 1p, 1p - 9p
Wed, Sept 1 (read & ride day - present valid library card, admission $9) 9a - 1p (2 shifts), 1p - 5p
Thurs, Sept 2 (senior day - $6 if 65 or older) 1p - 5p, 5p - 9p
Friday, Sept 3 9a - 1p
Sat, Sept 4 9a - 1p
Sun, Sept 5 9a - 1p, 5p - 9p
Mon, Sept 6 (Labor Day, kids day, $6 for 5-12 yr. olds) 1p - 5p, 5p - 9p
Each shift will have two people scheduled. If you don't see a shift listed above that you prefer, feel free to call me anyway.
